Anthropic eliminated the /buddy command from Claude Code after one week. Buddi preserves your buddy within your MacBook's notch. This companion animates according to Claude's activities, such as working, reading, sleeping, or encountering errors. Choose from 18 species with rarity levels ranging from common to legendary, each featuring unique eyes and hats. You can oversee several Claude Code sessions, grant permissions directly from the notch, and converse with complete history access. It also functions as a notch utility, displaying music, calendar, battery status, and a file shelf. The application is built with native Swift. It is free and open source.
