Capsomnia converts the Caps Lock key into a hardware-style toggle that prevents your MacBook from sleeping. This allows AI assistants like Claude Code and Codex, along with SSH connections, software builds, downloads, and other processes, to continue uninterrupted when you shut the lid. Should Caps Lock be in use, you can select an alternate key shortcut. The Caps Lock indicator light still displays the active status of Capsomnia. This application is complimentary and open source, fully signed and notarized. It requires no user accounts and collects no data. Significant traction has emerged in Japan, with over 2.3 million views and more than 6,000 downloads.
