CareRing takes a different approach to technology for elderly care. Instead of requiring seniors to learn new apps or wear devices, it works with the ordinary telephone they already use. Each day, at a time of their choosing, they receive a calm and friendly check-in call. Following the call, a family member receives a brief update on their loved one's well-being and whether daily tasks were completed. The service is built on consent; calls only happen with written permission from the parent, any day can remain private, and families receive summaries without any recordings or transcripts. It is currently available as an invitation-only paid beta.
