A single command handles zip, 7z, tar.*, ISO, RAR, and its proprietary cram format. It can list, extract, create, test, mount, and sign archives. Unlike most archivers, it utilizes every processor core. When creating an archive of 2.8GB from 42,151 files, it takes 6.95 seconds compared to 7-Zip's 68.25 seconds, and the resulting file is 13.4% smaller. For extraction, Azip completes in 1.89 seconds versus 7.21 seconds. The cram format stores repeated data only once across files, not just identical duplicates. Its drawbacks include producing archives 9% to 19% larger than 7-Zip when there is minimal duplication, and it consumes more memory. The test corpus is publicly available. The software is licensed under MIT/Apache 2.0, while the graphical user interface requires payment.
