In agentic workflows, significant token waste arises from both raw command outputs and state recollection following compaction. Agents frequently incorporate complete terminal output into context when only a few key anchors are necessary, and later incur the same cost again when compaction requires them to reread files or re-execute commands. CtxSift was designed to streamline this process into two steps: retain only the immediately relevant signal, and later retrieve it without reconstructing the entire state history.
