Daily is a minimal menubar application for writing daily notes in markdown. While I previously used Obsidian for this purpose, launching the complete application just to review my tasks or add a quick note began to seem unnecessarily cumbersome. That’s why I built Daily: a streamlined tool that connects directly to my current notes folder and launches my daily markdown file immediately for fast reference and updates. It integrates seamlessly with your present file system, remains unobtrusive, and is both free and open source.
