DesktopAudio captures any audio playing on your Mac and saves it locally as an m4a file. Record podcasts, live streams, webinars, or calls: if your Mac can play it, you can save it. Everything stays local with local recording and local files, requiring no cloud services or user accounts. The application never accesses your microphone or requests microphone permissions. It also completes macOS screen recording: while Cmd+Shift+5 captures video without system audio, running DesktopAudio alongside it provides both. It is available for a single payment of $19 with no subscription.
