DLEncoder creates PDF417 barcodes that meet AAMVA standards, which hold the data found on the back of United States driver licenses and identification cards, for engineering and quality assurance testing. This tool differs from alternatives by demanding no registration and providing complete authority over each data field and jurisdiction subfile. It supports both the v10 standard and the newer v11 standard, known as the 2025 CDS. The service also interprets and troubleshoots actual barcode scans, identifying problems with the preamble, carriage returns, line feeds, and data length.
