Elusive is an encrypted email service founded on transparent principles rather than mere assertions. It clearly displays on its homepage the precise boundary between what is secured with your key and what the server can access. Your encryption key is generated within your browser and never transmitted elsewhere. The service is free, with no advertising or tracking. This is the initial component of a comprehensive open-source privacy framework, with a communicator and file sharing features to follow using the same keys. While currently closed source, we are open about this status. The source code will be released at 300 users and undergo an audit at 1,000.
