This tool emphasizes simplicity, privacy, and minimalism. It operates directly from your menu bar instead of opening a separate application window or dashboard. The application provides immediate visual feedback on repository status, offering branch level awareness of clean or dirty states with minimal resource use, and it is not a full featured git client. It is built on a local first principle, requiring no account, collecting no telemetry, and performing no app level tracking. The design avoids heavy background processes, so it does not perform constant background polling during normal use.
