Granulay applies a live film grain texture across your entire Mac display. This transparent overlay works with any application or window on all connected monitors. Version 2.0 introduces two distinct effects: Grain, which provides a classic animated film texture, and Matte, offering a softer, diffused analog appearance. You can choose between animated or static grain to achieve either a cinematic or photographic aesthetic. The tool resides in your menu bar. Simply activate it, set your preferred intensity, and it will run unobtrusively in the background. It collects no user data. The price is $0.99.
