My only goal was to view a document. Yet I first had to sign into Adobe, dismiss the ugly sidebar, and close the AI panel before I could read it. I questioned why this was necessary. That is why I created Hermes PDF, a straightforward messenger deity for PDFs. It uses Tauri rather than Electron to avoid unnecessary bulk. The entire application is just 14MB, precisely what you have ever required. You open a file and read it. That is the complete experience.
