Krate converts AI-generated software into a single, shareable file that works across Mac, Windows, and Linux. It transforms a simple prompt into an application file that users can easily distribute. Claude is capable of creating the app directly. This single file runs locally on all three major operating systems. Prior to execution, Krate displays the app's requested permissions and grants only those explicitly approved by the user. Both the runtime and the file format are open source.
