Maida emerged from a personal challenge: locating halal items while traveling in non-Muslim nations was often hard due to unclear or foreign language labels. I created Maida to resolve this issue. Simply scan a product's barcode to receive an immediate Halal, Haram, or Doubtful status. The app further examines ingredients and provides a score from zero to one hundred, enabling informed choices even when the label is not understood.
