Noctiluca

Noctiluca is a macOS remote desktop solution that functions as both a server and client. It utilizes Sirius, a proprietary QUIC based protocol. The system supports hardware accelerated H.265 and H.264 encoding through VideoToolbox. It offers multi display functionality with detachable windows and uses SSH keys for authentication. Free clients are available across multiple platforms including macOS, iOS, Windows, and Linux. An experimental HDR streaming feature is also included. The Sirius protocol specification is open source, and a client reference library called libsirius is planned for release this summer.
