You know chess, but you have not experienced this version. Our goal was to introduce unpredictability to the game. This led us to create Pocket Shuffle Chess, a variant played on a five by six board with shuffled starting pieces, eliminating any need to memorize openings. It began from a straightforward idea: Could we make chess quicker, reduce reliance on opening theory, and create a distinct experience that forces even seasoned players to start thinking from the very first move? The result is a format that is recognizably chess, yet played in a new way.
