About

I was frustrated with Firebase costs that felt as high as rent, and while Supabase is nice, it isn't fully free and I wanted my data on my own server. That's why I created Postbase. It offers Postgres, authentication with over 20 providers, realtime features, file storage, and edge functions, matching all the essentials of Firebase and Supabase. The key difference is it's completely open source under the MIT license and designed for self-hosting. You can set it up with a single Docker command. There's no vendor lock-in, no unexpected charges, just a smooth experience and complete control.
