About
QymCAD is a parametric desktop CAD application designed for creating parts and assemblies such as enclosures, brackets, and mechanisms. It transforms a sketch into a solid model using extrude, revolve, or sweep operations. Features like holes, fillets, shells, and patterns can then be applied. Parts are assembled using revolute, slider, and rigid joints. The geometry is exact boundary representation, powered by the OpenCASCADE kernel, which also drives FreeCAD. It supports STEP and STL file exchange. The software is open source under the AGPL 3.0 license, offers a one time purchase with no subscription or cloud requirements, and builds for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
