vatnode provides a REST JSON API that encapsulates the EU's VIES VAT-validation service. A single authenticated GET request yields JSON that is never null, including a valid or invalid status, the company name and address when supplied by the member state, VAT-rate metadata, an optional VIES consultation number for audit purposes, and a national-registry backup for when VIES is unavailable. It covers the EU-27 nations plus Northern Ireland (XI). Test-mode fixtures allow integration into CI pipelines without consuming real validations. The free tier offers 100 checks monthly without requiring a payment card.
