Vox
AIThe first local AI that actually does things on your Mac
About
While many are creating AI chat interfaces, tools like Jan, LM Studio, and Ollama operate models locally yet only offer a basic chat window. Cloud services such as ChatGPT and Claude provide greater intelligence, but they charge monthly fees and cannot access your local files. Vox offers a distinct alternative. It is a local AI that performs actions through voice commands, an iMessage gateway, a screen overlay, file operations, and background agents. Everything operates offline and is completely free. Initially available for Mac, with Windows and Linux support coming soon. As an open source project, you can contribute to its development on those platforms.
