SeedVault secures your seed phrase by transforming it into an encrypted QR code, rendering it unreadable without the correct password. Unlike vulnerable plain text or metal backups, SeedVault uses AES 256 GCM encryption through the Web Crypto API, alongside PBKDF2 with 600,000 iterations and a random salt and IV. The application operates entirely offline, requiring no network connection, and is contained within a single HTML file with no external dependencies. You can easily scan and decrypt the QR code using your phone's camera. SeedVault also offers steganography, allowing you to conceal your backup within any image. It is open source and will always be free to use.
