Unit Threshold Discounts is a Shopify app for merchants who sell in packs like beer, wine, seltzers, supplements, anything where a single SKU represents multiple units. Shopify's native discounts count cart items, not units. So "buy 12 or more, save 15%" breaks the moment a shopper mixes a 6-pack, a 4-pack, and two singles. This app fixes that. Each product carries a unit_count metafield (1, 4, 12, etc.). The app sums effective units across the cart, and when the total hits your threshold, the discount applies automatically to eligible lines. Optional category filters let you run separate discounts for beer vs. wine vs. anything else, without them stepping on each other. Built on Shopify Functions, so everything runs natively at checkout, no cart scripts, no theme hacks, no checkout.liquid. Merchants configure thresholds, percentages, labels, and category filters from a clean embedded admin. Made for pack-based retailers who've been fighting Shopify's discount engine and losing.
